WCS Mongolia Program
Position Title: Finance Officer /part-time/
Reports to: WCS Mongolia Finance Director
Opening Period: 2 March, 2021 – 10 March, 2021
Summary: The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Mongolia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Finance Officer (part time) to assist with the country program financial management, budgeting, and accounting tasks.
General responsibilities:
· Provide financial support for the conservation programs implemented by the WCS Mongolia Program.
· Monitor and review expenditure against budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis by project and for country office as a whole
· Prepare monthly reports of expenditure against budgets, including monitoring of expenditure against project activity budgets as well as WCS project, grant/fund and account code
· Ensure complete accounting records are maintained including vouchers, authorizations, and reconciliations, including both paper and electronic records
· Prepare donor financial reports in line with donor reporting requirements, in consultation with Finance Director, project managers, and Country Director and the regional grants function
· Monitor financial performance against grant budgets and prepare/process adjusting entries for the grant financial transactions, as needed.
· Assist finance director and program staff with the preparation and the editing of budgets for new proposals
· Other necessary financial reports and finance related duties
Requirements:
· Demonstrated accounting and financial experience;
· Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
· Demonstrated computer skills (Advanced excel), Internet/E-mail applications;
· Fluency in spoken and written in Mongolian and in English;
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
· At least 5 years of working experience in the areas of finance.
