Otgonsuren Avirmed
Conservation Science Program Manager
Otgonsuren Avirmed completed her Ph D in Ecology at the University of Wyoming with International Fulbright Science and Technology Award. Her research areas are soil biogeochemistry, reclamation ecology and plant community ecology of dry grasslands and shrublands. She worked in dry ecosystems of North America and Mongolia for over fifteen years with purpose to understand how these ecosystems recover after disturbances such as mining, grazing and climate change.
Selengemurun Dembereldagva
Administrative and Logistics Assistant
Selengemurun Dembereldagva holds a Masters's degree in Biology from the UiT The Arctic University of Norway where she studied parasite infections of a reindeer population of Iceland. She also holds a Masters's degree in Veterinary Science from the Mongolian University of Life Sciences. She has over 10 years of experience working as a field assistant for a variety of bird projects that include avian influenza surveillance, waterfowl migration, habitat selection, and breeding biology of passerines and falcons in Finland, South Africa, and Mongolia. She also has a close interest and has worked with Mongolian herders on an ecologically sustainable cashmere project in Bayankhongor.
Tsend-Ayush Perenlei
Tsend-Ayush works as a Driver at the Wildlife Conservation Society in Mongolia. He graduated from the Extractive Industry College in Erdenet city. He has worked as a driver all throughout Mongolia with more than 25 years of experience. Most recently, he worked for Mercy Corps between 2003-2012.
Tsolmon Bereeter
HR and Operations Senior Officer
Tsolmon Bereeter joined WCS Mongolia in 2017 as an Office Admin. She graduated from Eco Asia Environmental and Management University in 2021 with a Master’s degree of Environmental Studies, and Orkhon aimag Foreign Language Institute in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree as an English Language Translator and Human Resources special courses in 2013. Prior to joining to WCS, Tsolmon worked World Vision International Mongolia for 15 years and she had been sub contracted by Scope Global “Australian Volunteers for International Development” program as Program Support Officer for 4 years between 2013-2017.
Tsolmon Jambalsuren
Conservation Assistant
Tsolmon graduated as an ecologist from the School of Arts and Sciences, the National University of Mongolia in 2017. She has been working at WCS Mongolia program since 2016. Between 2016 - 2019, she worked as a plant specialist on the Core Biodiversity of Monitoring project at the WCS Mongolia program. She is currently working as a Conservation Science Assistant at the WCS Mongolia program.
Tuguldur Enkhtsetseg
Social Scientist
Tuguldur Enkhtsetseg (short name is Tuugii) is a graduate from Mongolia State University of Education on natural science teacher. Currently, Tuugii is a Social Scientist at the WCS Mongolia program, implementing conservation action. Tuugii is as well as Mongolia franchise leader of global Conservation Coaches Network. He used to work for The Nature Conservancy Mongolia program implementing a Conservation Action Planning at TNC anchor site in Eastern Mongolia last 12 years. Tuugii is a Master of Science in Biology and 2018-2019 Humphrey fellow and is a graduate from Cornell University program on natural resource management, environmental policy and climate change. Over the last 10 years, he has contributed in strengthening and building capacity of protected areas staff in Mongolia for improving effective management.
Tumurbat Sandag
Environmental Law Enforcement Data Analyst
Tumurbat completed his first Master's degree in Biology at the National University of Mongolia, and his second Master's degree in Public Administration at National Academy of Governance of Mongolia, also he has a bachelor’s degree in Law. He joined WCS Mongolia program in September 2022, he serves as Environmental Law Enforcement Data Analyst. He used to work in the Specialized Inspection Agency of Capital as State Environmental Inspector for over 10 years.
Undral Erdenebat
CLP Intern
Undral is a CLP Intern at WCS . She is a Remote Sensing Specialist/Geographic Information Systems Analyst/Data Analyst with extensive knowledge, skills and experience for diverse Remote Sensing/GIS software, application, and spatial databases. She completed Environmental Remote sensing bachelor degree at National University of Mongolia in 2020.
Uugantsetseg Batgerel
Uugantsetseg graduated from the Institute of Finance and Economics of Mongolia. Before joining WCS Uugantsetseg worked for Skytel Group as an accountant. She has been working as the accountant for WCS Mongolia since 2013.
